Why Did Marta CEO Jeff Parker Jump In Front Of A Train?
|
On Friday Jan 14th 56 Year Old Marta CEO Jeff Parker committed suicide by ironically jumping in front of one of his own Marta trains.
According to his MARTA bio, Parker was a “recognized national leader in transportation and transit” with more than 35 years of both private and public experience in the industry.
Parker, a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, joined MARTA following a long career, beginning in 1985, with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority.
As we struggle to understand the complexity of this tragedy, we grieve with and for his wife Erin, his daughters and all of Jeff’s family and friends as well as his MARTA family,”
- MARTA Board of Directors Chairwoman Rita Scott said in a statement. “As we continue to grieve, we want you to know that suicide is preventable and help is available to you.”
But still no one knows why he suddenly decided to take his own life & choose to do so in such a violent manner leading to a strange death & a potential unsolved mystery.
There been some speculation he had Covid but that has been neither confirmed or denied. Besides that, its simply not plausible seeing though Covid is highly treatable.
There are no known reports of infidelity or domestic violence between he & his wife, nor are there any past factors that point to a double life. So far there are no indication of bankruptcy or money problems.
We do know that Jeffrey had a busy shedule & was involved in intense contract negotiations with the local union.
Social Media has now picked up this story, and while it is never a good place for reliable information, it is a good barometer as to what some of the public is thinking & in this case the general consensus is…
“That he knew something that we don’t know”
Marta has since announced Collie Greenwood as interim CEO & neither them or the Atlanta Police will answer any questions about speculation in the case of this strange tragic incident.
