This Is Not A Dog! Its A Man In A Dog Suit! You Won’t Believe Why!
|
Back in the Summer, a Japanese man named Toco fulfilled his boyhood dream by becoming a “human dog.” He paid Zeppet, a company formed in 1984 that specializes in making robots and animatronics, 2 million Yen ($14,871.99) to customize a Collie suit for him to wear.
“Since childhood, I have had this unspecific fantasy of becoming an animal. I wonder whether it was a desire for transformation,” Toco explained.
Toco became so dedicated to the role of playing a dog in real life that he taught himself how to roll over for belly rubs, eat dog food, lay on his backside in a hammock, pant and maneuver on all fours.
His YouTube Channel chronicles his activities as a dog, and it’s brought him fanfare and supporters from all over the world.
However, despite the outpouring of apathy, the internet sensation still has some trepidation about his unusual hobby, citing his concerns about embarrassing his friends and family. In a recent interview with Mirror, Toco shared his concerns about the matter.
“I rarely tell my friends because I am afraid they will think I am weird. My friends and family seemed very surprised to learn I became an animal.”
