Former Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Alex Brown has been sentenced to four months in jail after his involvement in a car wreck that injured a former teammate, according to multiple reports.
The 26-year-old reportedly pled nolo contendre, which means he accepted the conviction, but did not admit guilt, after he was accused of having a .211 blood alcohol level in a 2021 wrong way, head-on collision that took place in Wayne County, Michigan.

Brown was with the Detroit Lions at the time of the crash. His teammate at the time, tight end Charlie Taumopeau, suffered a broken fibula. He reportedly had to be removed from the vehicle with the jaws of life.
Also, a 27-year-old in the other car reportedly suffered leg injuries.
Wayne County prosecutor Brian Johnson said in court following the crash back in 2021 that Brown said at the scene of the Michigan crash that he thought he was in Atlanta.
Brown was originally charged with two counts of operating while under the influence causing serious injury and two counts of reckless driving causing serious injury. The nolo contendre plea was reportedly to one charge of operating under the influence.
Along with serving four months, he reportedly faces two years of probation and will have to pay $778 in fines and court costs.
Brown played college football at South Carolina State University who signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He also spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets that season.
Brown then spent 2020 with the Kansas City Chiefs before moving on to the Lions in 2021.
He signed with the CFL’s Edmonton Elks in November.
