Sean Diddy Combs’ alleged drug mule Brendan Paul has been charged with felony cocaine possession.
Paul was arrested last month during a raid of Diddy’s Los Angeles and Miami homes. Paul was discovered on Diddy’s private jet in Miami allegedly with a backpack full of illicit drugs. Paul’s additional felony charge for marijuana-laced candy has since been dropped.
Paul has pleaded “not guilty” to the charges.
“We will be dealing with this case in the courtroom, not the court of public opinion,” Paul’s attorney Brian Bieber said in a statement.
The next hearing is scheduled for May 17.
In a statement, Diddy’s attorney called the raids an “unprecedented ambush” and said the mogul “is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name.”
“There was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs’ residences. There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated,” Aaron Dyer’s continued.
