As Media Take Our reported, Jeezy is refusing to pay Jeannie Mai alimony or child support. Jeannie, who claims she was “blindsided” by the divorce filing last summer, and wanted very much to keep her “family together” is now claiming that she was a “battered wife.”
According to Jeannie, in 2022 there were multiple (3-4) incidents of Jeezy abusing her.
One incident was at a hotel in April 2022. In that incident, Jeezy allegedly choked Jeannie from behind as she was ascending the stairs, and he then pushed her down the steps. Jeannie also says that the rapper – whom she calls “Cheesy” in the court documents then proceeded to verbally assault Jeannie, calling her a “fu*ng bi*” and repeating, “I can do so much better than you.”
Jeannie says that security allegedly intervened and provided Jeannie protection after she repeatedly stated she “felt unsafe.”
Jeannie slid says that her ex assaulted her in a parked car in Jan of 2022 weeks after she gave birth to their child. During a conversation inside a parked car on January 18, 2022, in Miami, Records show that Jeezy requested that the driver step outside the vehicle and begin to berate Jeannie.
At the time, he allegedly hurled insults such as “You wh*re!” and said, “I can’t wait to divorce you when we get back.”
Jeannie says she was held against her will inside the vehicle. While trying to escape, Jeezy allegedly struck her with a closed fist across her cheekbone and eye. The attack reportedly caused her a subconjunctival hemorrhage.
Jeannie also claim that Jeezy abused her at the UNCF 39th annual Atlanta Mayor’s Masked Ball on December 17, 2022.
During the UNCF event, Jeannie and Jeezy got into an argument, and she claims that – on the way home – Jeezy reportedly asked the driver to exit and began to abuse his estranged wife verbally. She attempted to exit the car two times, per the court docs. She says that Jeezy then allegedly grabbed the neckline of her dress, tearing the dress and causing multiple 2-3 inch scratches across her right breast with his fingernails.
Jeannie doesn’t provide any physical evidence to support these claims, despite her claim that she suffered serious physical injuries.
She did, however, provide evidence that she was injured when Jeezy crashed a golf cart with her inside it. She provided that evidence to the court of her injuries.
Jeannie claims Jeezy was drunk, but Jeezy denies it. Either way, Jeannie agreed to get into the golf cart with her intoxicated husband – assuming you believe her.
She also provided a text exchange where Jeezy – whom she called “Cheesy” on her phone – apologized for the car wreck.

Jeezy responded – saying that everything that Jeannie is saying are lies, constructed to try and get herself a higher divorce settlement.
