IS BLACK PANTHER A PACIFIER FOR BLACKS?

Black Panther Is An Awesome Movie!  It Certainly Has Increased Black Pride, Nation & Wordwide!  African Clothing Purchases In The Black Community Is At An All-time High, And 1000’s Of Newly Born Black Babies Are Expected & Already Receiving The Name Wakanda Or Some Version Of It.

Black People Seem Genuinely Excited & Happy.  BUT!

( y’all know that but was coming right? )

 It Can Be Easily Said That This Movie Is Somewhat Of A Pacifier For Blacks.  As In Keep Em Happy & They Won’t Complain Nor Realize That A Hit Movie That Paints Them In A Strong Positive Light Doesn’t Necessarily Mean Change Has Happened.

Example: When Gays Stood Up For Rights, Laws Changed Heavily In Their Favor.  As Well As Transgenders & Immigrants.  If You Work, Look In Your Employee Manual And You Will See Edited Revisions That Now Include The Phrase “Sexual Identity”.

That Means If A Newly Hired  Man Chooses To Dress Like A Woman & Wear A Dress & A Bright Purple Wig, Legally Your Employer Can’t Refuse To Hire Them Based On Their “Identity”.

That’s Changing Laws!  Transgenders Make Up 0.6% Of The Population But Have Manage To Drastically Change Laws & Challenge Mindsets & Traditional Thinking.

Do I Really Have To Mention The Vast Accomplishments Of The Gay Community Who Make Up 4.1% Of The Poulation, As Far As Change That Has Been Granted & Afforded To Them?  Their Movement Has Not Only Changed Thinking But Has Resulted In Multiple Laws Being Changed In Their Favor!

( In 2012 when gay marriage laws were passed, their numbers were, 3.5% )

Remember A Day Without Immigrants About A Year Ago?  Well Things Have Changed In Their Favor Also,  Laws!  Changing!  For Them!  Hispanics Are Now The No. 1 Minority In The U.S.  What That Means Is… Employers By Law Are Mandated To Hire Them First.

Ouch!  Immigrants Also Are More Than Likely To Get A Business Loan Quicker Than A Black Person, ( this is why black neighborhoods are filled with immigrant owned business owners who take the money and give back zero to the community )

And Because They Are Willing To Work Faster For Less, Some Industries Particularly Restaurants & Factories Have Practically Re-invented The Parameters Of Full Time 40 hr. Work Week.

Fulltime Became 35 & 35 Quickly Became 29 hrs.  Last I Checked 25 hrs. A Week Is Now Considered Full Time By Many Large Industries.  By Far This Has Disenfranchised The American Born Worker White & Black.

So There Has Been Major Change For The Gay Community, Trans & Immigrant People,  But Black People…. Get A Fictional Hollywood Superhero Movie.  No Recent Law Changes That Would Benefit Them….  Just A Movie!

No Political Administration Addressing & Changing The Major Issues That Affect Blacks On The Regular….Just A Movie!  And Admittedlty A Damn Good One At That.

Wakanda Is Supposedly  A Fictionalized African Country Where Blacks Are Doing Great & Rule Their Land.

But In Real Life There Are Many Examples Of Oppression In Africa And In Some Cases Such As Libya, Blacks Are Actually In Slavery! Meanwhile In America Blacks Are Literally Doing Black Panther Dance Offs On Social Media,

Which Honestly Is Fun & Cool. Umm… Its Not Really Changing Anything Politically Or Financially For The Cause, But Its Fun & Cool.

Btw, If I See Another Dashiki Clad Black Person Doing The Black Panther Challenge Dance On Instagram,  Im A Tie They’re Ass To A Voting Booth & Ship Em Right Off To Wa-Harrisburg-akanda!

If You Could Go Back In Time , Which Would You Rather Have? Laws Changed Dramatically In Your Favor That Strengthens Your Cause?  Or A Fictional Hollywood Movie That Depicts You As A Ruler?

The Movie Has Grossed 786.3 Million Wordwide To Date ( For Hollywood Not For Blacks ) & Has Definitely Lifted The Pride Of Blacks!  At Least On The Surface, & Proves To Hollywood That Blacks Can Sell Big Box Office While Intimating Positive Images & Characters. This Is Good!

But You Know What’s Even Better?

Laws Getting Changed & Updated That Affects Blacks ( 13.3% of the population )  For The Better!

 Not An Award!  

Not A Statue Or A Movie….
