Insane Catch Was Just The Beginning Of Wild Vikings-Bills Finish

Justin Jefferson’s jaw-dropping catch was just the beginning of what became the wildest finish of a game in the 2022 NFL season.

After leading by 17 points in the third quarter, the Bills choked away the lead and eventually lost to the Vikings in overtime, 33-30.

With Minnesota down 27-23 with less than two minutes to go in the fourth quarter, quarterback Kirk Cousins tossed a pass on 4th-and-18 to Jefferson, who somehow grabbed the ball with one hand through a defender’s hands, giving the Vikings a first down in Bills territory.

The Vikings came up short on the drive, however, with Kirk Cousins’ QB sneak stopped at the goal line. Unfortunately for Buffalo, Josh Allen subsequently fumbled the ball away on a botched snap resulting in a Minnesota touchdown, giving the Vikings a 30-27 lead.

The Bills, coming off a rough loss to the Jets last week, then drove downfield in the game’s final seconds of regulation, helping to set up a 29-yard field goal from Tyler Bass to send the game into overtime at 30-30.

The Vikings got the ball first in overtime and scored a field goal to take a 33-30 lead. Allen, who had been dealing with an elbow injury this week, was then intercepted as he tried to orchestrate a Buffalo comeback.

The Vikings improved to 8-1, with Cousins throwing for 357 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. The Bills, meanwhile, dropped to 6-3.
