Delonte West Arrested Again, Hit With Four Criminal Charges

Former NBA star Delonte West has made headlines for his arrests and struggles since leaving the league, including doing stints in rehab after Mavericks owner Mark Cuban found him in the streets of Dallas.

Earlier this month, Cuban told TMZ that West was still struggling with addiction and mental health issues, and he stated that “He’s at the point in his life where he’s got to want to be helped.”

Now, TMZ is reporting that Delonte was arrested in Virginia on October 15, after someone spotted him trying to break into a car that wasn’t his. Police confronted West in a parking lot, and he fled on foot when they tried to arrest him.

Delonte was found a short distance away, and he was eventually apprehended and charged with vehicle trespassing, entering a vehicle, fleeing from law enforcement, and being drunk in public.

Records show he was released on October 16, and it’s unclear when he’ll appear in court.
